14,000 square metres of warehouse space and 1,500 square metres of modern office space will be available for the two business segments once the logistics facility in Niederaula has been completed at the beginning of 2022. Synergy effects are expected from this joint use so that both units can respond to customers’ needs in an even better way.
The new business site will not only handle technically sophisticated high-tech products, but also furniture and white goods; they will then be delivered and assembled across Germany even to their final place of use through specialist networks involving 2-man-handling teams. Niederaula represents an ideal addition to the existing network, thanks to the site’s central location in the centre of Germany. Links to the A4, A5 and A7 motorways enable even greater proximity to customers.
The complex includes an integrated joint training academy, where several hundred employees can be instructed every year. Extensive and regular training for driver teams is particularly necessary in Rhenus High Tech’s field of operations in order to guarantee that the technically sophisticated goods are handled with the highest levels of quality. Rhenus is therefore continuing to consistently place its strategic focus on the issues of expertise and quality leadership.
The training room enables teaching to take place in large groups and using different combinations. "We are still looking for committed managers for the exciting and challenging tasks in Niederaula," emphasises Franz Kronschnabl, Managing Director of Rhenus High Tech. In addition to a modern, bright and spacious working environment, these new managers will find well-developed and solidly established structures at the two segments.
The Rhenus Group is one of the leading logistics specialists with global business operations and annual turnover amounting to EUR 5.4 billion. 33,500 employees work at 820 business sites and develop innovative solutions along the complete supply chain. Whether providing transport, warehousing, customs clearance or value-added services, the family business pools its operations in various business units where the needs of customers are the major focus at all times.
