Games Roundtable
The multi-award-winning and ASCAP-nominated composer for games and film Jon Everist has written music for franchises such as Overwatch 2, Shadowrun and PUBG, as well as Mike Bithell’s The Solitaire Conspiracy.
He also scored the critically acclaimed BattleTech video game, which was nominated for Best Video Game Score of the Year at the 34th ASCAP Screen Music Awards, and went on to win several other awards, including honours from The Jerry Goldsmith Awards.
Jon’s next opus for the alternate 1930s pulp adventure, The Lamplighters League, was recorded at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios and will release in the summer of 2023.
As an in-demand composer and producer, Johnson’s creative approach of an irreverent fusion of contemporary styles is featured on a broad cross-section of video games, such as Trek to Yomi, Bayonetta 3, Resident Evil 2, Synced: Off Planet, Devil May Cry 5, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.
His works have garnered critical acclaim and awards (The Game Awards, SXSW, G.A.N.G. Awards, NAVGTR, HMMA). It has also been featured by artists such as Yours Truly, Suicide Silence, and Volumes‘ Michael Barr, and has been showcased at many conferences such as PAX, GameSoundCon, MAGfest, Tokyo Game Show, Berklee College of Music, and USC.
Johnson is also the CEO of the Emperia Group, a multi-division full-stack interactive audio solutions company that includes Emperia Sound and Music, Emperia Records, and Emperia Music Group.
Brian D’Oliveira is a multi-award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist, and creative technologist from Montreal, Canada. He is renowned for his memorable and immersive soundtracks, which have been featured in hundreds of productions throughout his career.
D’Oliveira founded La Hacienda Creative Studios, a company known for its unique, handcrafted approach to music creation, utilizing cutting-edge interactive technologies. In addition to his work at La Hacienda, the composer is also the head of MNTRA Instruments, the Studio’s research and development division focused on creating next-generation audio tools for the interactive and music industries.
His work can be found in musical and sound universes in games like Resident Evil 7 and 8, Shadow of Tomb Raider, and League of Legends. Most recently, he was the composer behind the epic scores on Disney+ Gannibal (2022), which has taken Japan by storm.
